The Rev'd. Sara Palmer, Rector
Sara was appointed rector in May 2016 and began her leadership for the overall ministry of Holy Trinity Church on July 1, 2016. Sara came to us from St. Mary's, High Point, NC where she was Assistant Rector. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Sara served as a missionary in Bolivia before returning to the United States with her American husband David. She attended Virginia Theological Seminary before her appointment at St. Mary's. Sara's husband David is a musician with degrees from Ball State University and Eastman School of Music. Bill Bausano, Choir Director
William Bausano has been the Choir Director at Holy Trinity since 1982. He is an active member of the parish and has served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. Bill received a DMA degree in Choral Music from the University of Southern California. He is Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Miami University, and past president and Honorary Life Member of the National Collegiate Choral Organization.
David Castillo Gocher, Organist
David Castillo has studied organ at the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (Organ Artist Diploma), Texas Christian University (Music Education, Magna cum laude), Boston University (Master of Sacred Music), and has completed classwork and examinations towards a Doctorate in Music at Northwestern University.
Gayle Shidler, Communications Coordinator
A native Chicagoan, Gayle graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a BFA and teaching certification. She worked for 30 years in the Miami University Library system on the Oxford and Middletown campuses. During that time, she was Co-chair of the Women's Programming Planning board, a member of the Miami Women's Advisory board, and a founding member of the Libraries Diversity Committee. Gayle and husband Mel raised 4 children and have 5 grandchildren. She has been Communications Coordinator since January 2012. Other interests include gardening, traveling, folk music research, ancient Chinese philosophy and Reiki.
Debbie Vogt, Nursery Care
Debbie, a native of Hamilton, OH, has lived in Oxford since 2006. After attending Miami University, she worked at Cincinnati Bell prior to the birth of her three children. After being a stay-at-home mom for 16 years, she re-entered the workforce. She was a Traffic Manager at WMUB (Miami's NPR station) for 12 years. She is currently employed in the athletic department at Miami. Debbie has worked in the Holy Trinity nursery since 2009, full-time since August 2011. She is a member of the Woman's Club of Oxford, the Oxford Toastmasters Club, and volunteers with the Oxford Police Department Citizens Observer Patrol. She has five grandchildren.
